At McGill School of Medicine, we believe that the practice of medicine is an extension of the Christian calling to love and serve others. Our students are not only trained to diagnose and treat diseases but also to offer holistic care that honors the whole person—body, mind, and soul. Through regular chapel services, Bible studies, and community outreach, our students are empowered to grow in their faith while pursuing excellence in their medical studies.

MD Program at McGill School of Medicine

The MD Program at McGill School of Medicine offers an exceptional education grounded in both rigorous scientific inquiry and Christian values. Designed to develop compassionate, ethical, and highly skilled physicians, this program integrates clinical training, medical research, and a strong ethical foundation rooted in Christian principles.

Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of medicine, while also nurturing personal growth, empathy, and servant leadership. The MD program is designed in a way that emphasizes both technical proficiency and the importance of compassion in patient care, guided by the values of integrity, respect, and service.

Year 1 & 2: Foundations of Medicine

The first two years provide students with a strong foundation in the biomedical sciences, anatomy, physiology, and pathology, integrated with early clinical exposure. Students gain the theoretical knowledge needed to understand the human body, while simultaneously learning to view healthcare through a holistic, Christian lens. The emphasis is on developing the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to diagnose and treat illness.

Year 3 & 4: Clinical Training and Ethical Practice

In the final two years, students transition to clinical placements at hospitals and healthcare facilities where they gain direct, hands-on experience. Throughout this phase, students engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, learning how to integrate technical knowledge with compassionate care. The Christian values of empathy, respect, and service guide students as they provide care in real-world settings, strengthening their ability to treat the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Students will also explore areas like medical ethics, patient communication, and the social determinants of health, always through the lens of Christian compassion and service.

Faith Integration:

At McGill School of Medicine, we believe that true healing encompasses more than just medical knowledge; it requires a deep sense of empathy and care for the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of patients. Throughout the MD program, students are encouraged to integrate their Christian faith with their practice of medicine. Opportunities for prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth are embedded in the curriculum to support students in their journey as both healers and followers of Christ.

Global Service and Outreach:

A key aspect of our MD program is the emphasis on service to underserved communities. Students are encouraged to participate in mission trips, medical outreach programs, and volunteer activities, bringing care to those in need both locally and internationally. This experience helps students develop a servant-leader mindset, committed to healing with humility, respect, and dedication.

Admissions and Requirements:

4-year MD Program

The admissions process for the MD program is highly competitive, seeking candidates who demonstrate both academic excellence and a deep commitment to compassionate care. In addition to strong academic credentials, we look for applicants who embody the values of service, empathy, and a desire to make a difference in the world. International Students

Christ-centered education is rooted in the Great Commission, Christ’s command to His followers to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all that I commanded you…” (Matthew 28:19-20). These words touch upon the essential educational mandate in Christ’s command.  Making and teaching disciples must begin with our own children.
